Solar System Explorer
Pick a celestial body and explore its 3D model
Summary
Choose any body from the Sun to Pluto on a single screen and rotate its 3D model to examine it. See key facts such as the diameter, distance and moons of the body you choose right next to it.
In depth
The Solar System Explorer brings together the Sun, the eight planets, the dwarf planet Pluto and the Moon in a single interactive view. Click a body in the list on the left and its 3D model opens in the centre; you can rotate and zoom it with the mouse. The panel on the right lists that body's key facts (diameter, distance from the Sun, number of moons and so on). The models are based on data from NASA Solar System Treks.
